Return to homepage | Darlingtons Equipment Guide Faema E61 Retro Classic Espresso In 1945, Faema S.p.A. began its long history in the espresso business thanks to Mr. Carlo Valente, a former factory worker. He began his career at the age of 14 as a mechanic and impressed many with his creativity driven from simple ideas, hard work and a little good luck.
Soon Faema started dominating the market with its highly developed technology. The turning point in Faema's history is represented by year 1961 when the company introduced to the Italian market the model E61. This espresso machine, equipped with an innovative infusion system and an electric pump replaced the manual or hydraulic pistons that up to that time had guaranteed the machine's functioning. The new model achieved such an astonishing success that in a few years Faema managed to gain important market shares in the Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and South American markets.
Now relaunched this ulitimate classic machine will be the center piece of your cafe or restaurant.
